Well sadly, my weekend isn't a very restful one. Sadly it is laden with work. I work a shift today, Saturday from 9am - 3pm, and Sunday I work 3pm - 11pm out in Scarborough at my second part time job (yes that makes 3 jobs, 1 full time and 2 part time). This makes for 12 days of working in a row. Groan!
So after work today, being that the weather was so beautiful out, and the fact that we haven't used the hot tub once since the summer months, I felt it was necessary to take the opportunity to clean the hot tub.

Sadly this whole deal took much too long. When it came to refilling the hot tub, well, it turns out that when I went to turn something off, it turns out I didn't turn it off rather turned it up. What does this mean? This means that after the hot tub filled up half way, it started to drain back out. Bad on me, it took me over an hour to realize that the tub wasn't filling up at all.
Here on the left you can see the tub draining, it pretty much looked the same when it was filling back up. Over on the right this is the top step to get into the hot tub. Not too sure if you can see clearly but there is a nice layer of scum covering the steps.
As I mentioned in my blog for Friday, Kevin and I went to Costco. The main purpose of out trip was to get fish. I only buy my salmon from Costco. This is because I can get them with the skin taken off (can't get them this way at my local grocery stores - bastards), and for the most part de-boned. However on the de-boning note, I think that Costco has recently hired someone new, as 2 of the 3 last buys from there have had stray bones in them. Now I know and look for them as I cut up the fish into portion sizes to freeze.
Here is the little bit of fish we got, lol. This should do us for the next couple of months.
I got to sleep in this morning, alarm didn't go off until 7:10am LOL. Wow this sucks "sleeping in" until 7:30.
Breakfast for me was some Oatmeal. I love it really, all warm in my belly and keeps me feeling full till snack time. 3/4 cup with cinnamon, nutmeg and 1 tbsp of crasins.
For snack, I was initially disappointed when i was making it the night before that I did not have enough blueberries. I did have a half a banana left over from when I made my protein shake. This new combination was a nice new change!
Lunch was something I really enjoy, but often don't make.
2 cups of cabbage, 1 thick slice of red onion, 1 sliced up royal gala apple dressed with olive oil and cider vinegar.
My afternoon snack, which sometimes I find I have much too early in the afternoon between lunch and dinner. Oh well!
1 Navel Orange and 1 mozzarella cheese string
I had no idea what I wanted to make for dinner. I am home along tonight as Kevin too picked up an extra shift at work from 5pm-1am. I had the fresh salmon in the fridge, so I figured I might as well have some salmon for dinner.
4 oz of broiled salmon with a small small pinch of sea salt, 2 cups of steamed broccoli, 1/2 of a red pepper and 4 baby carrots. You can see a shot glass on my plate. That is my 1 tbsp of garlic hummus. This way the hummus didn't get wet from the veggies, I hate diluted dip.
So I was all ready to go swimming, I couldn't find my gym membership card, but just went anyways. I was so happy and excited to be going swimming to see how my endurance was coming along. Plus I had my new 1 pc to wear that I was excited to get into the pool. So I set out and drove to the gym. When I walk into the gym reception area I can see the pool, I also see that the lanes aren't set up, and really there weren't many cars in the parking lot. I ask the lady behind the counter if there is swimming tonight. She tells me that no there isn't swimming tonight, rather points out that I had misread the schedule, that there isn't swimming tonight (Saturday night) from 8:15-9:15pm, rather 8:15-9:15am. D'oh. I really was sad when I realized that I couldn't go swimming. This is especially sad because I work tomorrow evening 3pm-11pm, and the next lane swim anywhere at any of the local pools isn't until after 6pm, when I will be working. On top of that I am working until 11pm in Scarborough, which means when I get home and settled in bed it will be almost midnight. I can't promise that I will get my but out of bed 5 hours later to get up and go to the gym. Le Sigh! I guess I will just have to make sure I go to step class Monday night at 6pm, kill some time doing some weights on the gym floor until swimming starts at 8 or 8:30pm.
Total calories eaten 1,430 and total burned (I would have had swimming - but I logged my running around the house up and down the stairs a million times) 87.
Your meals put my meals to shame.
ReplyDeletelol awe. I just like to try and stay creative. Which can be hard cuz I only eat boneless skiness white chicken/turkey and salmon for meat products.
