No Food Pictures

Good afternoon all! ! ! !

Well it's Friday, and I haven't posted since Tuesday evening. I am sorry. I have however been taking pics of my food, I just haven't had the time to stop and post it all. What have I been doing to keep so dang busy? OMG I have been at work and at the gym, with short pit stops at home to change clothes, grab some food and sleep (note I did not mention shower - I will touch on that in a bit).

So I've been working and at the gym eh!!! Yup, that's right. If you remember I have been talking about this beginners triathlon (try-a-tri). Well I started that training on Monday, and this is what I have done so far:

Monday Am
5 min warm up brisk walk at 3.5 speed at 2.5 incline
10 min run at 4.4 speed at 1.00 incline
20 min swim - well I lasted 5.5 laps which took me a lot of O2 and about 10 mins
Sauna for 20 mins

Monday Pm
I had 75 mins of Hot Yoga

Tuesday Am
40 min spin class
15 mins of weights and ab work
30 mins in the sauna relaxing

Wednesday Am
Muscle Moves (weight class) 40 mins
5 min warm up brisk walk at 3.5 speed at 2.5 incline
10 min run at 4.5 speed at 1.00 incline
Sauna relaxing for 20 mins

Thursday Am
40 min Spin class
25 mins in the Sauna

Thursday Pm
75 min Hot Yoga

Friday
Cardio Bosu class 40 mins
25 mins in the sauna
*was supposed to swim this morning for 20 mins but my arms were so tired that I was worried I would make it to the deep end and then just sink to the bottom like a rock lol - so I skipped swimming*

Saturday
I might go swim for 20 mins to make up for not swimming this morning but we'll see. My body clearly needs the rest!

Sunday
Haven't decided if I'll go or not, or even if there is room;
75 min Hot Yoga

Next week pretty much looks the same, except instead of going to Hot Yoga Monday night I will be going to Step & Pump, and increases to swimming and running are supposed to take place.

The good news is this:

I have lost 3 lbs from the 6 that I had previously lost and then regained over a week or so of treating myself and recovering from skiing.

Not all here

Well not all here, I do not have a picture of my mid morning snack, because i had finished eating it before I remembered I did not take the picture, and also I was out for a networking event through work, where I had a few finger foods. I was not able to take pictures simply because of the setting. However it is all logged on my food diary on www.myfitnesspal.com

Breakfast I made myself a peanut butter banana protein shake. Yummm my favourite shake.
Again mid morning snack is MIA, but I had a half cup of cottage cheese with 1 cup of cantaloupe.

Lunch was a very tasty salad that I threw together. 1.5 cups of spring mix lettuce, 1 oz of kraft cracker barrel light cheddar cheese, 1/5 of avocado, 1/2 cup of cucumber, 7 halves of english walnuts with 1 tbsp of the soy ginger dressing. Cant wait to have this again.
Mid day snack I had a grapefruit. Self explanatory, sorry not very exciting.

At 4:15 I ate my yogurt, bran buds and blueberries for a 'dinner'. This is because I went to a Networking event put on by the Whitby Chamber of Commerce. This networking event was at a Whitby Indian restaurant. I know that typically Indian food is bad because of the sodium and the calories all loaded up in the sauces, so I thought eat before I go and I wouldn't be or get hungry and start to gorge on the Indian food.

While at the networking I had one of each of these and they were all fairly decent, however lots of fats from being fried and CARRRRBS! lol but everything in moderation right. And really networking the room I couldn't have not had anything as everyone I was talking to in the room was eating and asking if I was going to have any.
So I had 1 Chicken Pakora, 1 veggie samosa spinach bhaji 1 Aloo Tikki (which is the potato thinger). It should be noted that these 4 things are a total of 715 calories. Yipes!
I went to spin class this morning and managed to burn 430 calories in the 40 min class which was great considering I had a sh*t bike. The tension knob was all gummed up. It was actually one that was broke a few weeks ago, and so they have loosened the tension knob but not to the very start of the tension so the start is a med tension lol. Also did some weights and ab work after then sat in the sauna.
Calories burned: 1,218
Calories intake: 2,033 (sounds like a lot but really I burned 1,218 of those which translate to an addition of 1,218 to my daily allowance of 1,390 calories. Make sense?)

Tupperwear out, Glasswear in!

Back to bloggin!

So as you read from Monday's post, things kinda went down hill for me the last week and a half. But never fear! Yesterday I was back on the wagon. With a goal no less. For some of you you may already know, but I have decided to try my very own beginners Triathlon a try-a-tri in Orillia Aug 22nd. So I have found a training schedule that is a 10 week schedule, which I will start now and make amendments to as I draw closer to the 10 week mark (start of May) so that I can increase speed and endurance. So yesterday (Monday) I actually started this. I went to the gym bright and early for 610am. I ran on the treadmill for 10 mins at a speed of 4.4 with a 1.0 incline. I did 5 mins worth of a brisk walk at 3.5 at 2.5 incline for 5 mins before and after the running. After that the training said I should swim for 20 mins. Now let me tell you. You haven't been swimming in a while, 20 mins is like trying to climb Mt. Everest. I managed 5.5 laps over 10 mins. My Heart Rate Monitor at one point told me that my HR was so high I was outside my target training range (think it was at 170). Anyway after that I took a nice rest sitting in the sauna before heading into work. I also went for a RMT massage after work which was muchly need. After dinner I hit up Hot Yoga in Bowmanville for 1.5hrs. Lots of working out.

Food, well I forgot my camera in my desk at work Friday so no picture of my 1/2 cup Metro brand Selection Raisin Almond Granola w 1/2 cup of skim milk that I had for breakfast.

Here you can see my fav snack (which also serves me as so many other meals) Fat free yogurt with 1/3 cup of blueberries and 1/3 cup of bran buds.
Lunch was a cup of Knorr Rustic Vegetable soup
Snack again forgetting to snap a pic before I ate was a grapefruit.
Dinner I made a salmon salad. 2 cups of spring mix lettuce, 2 grape tomatoes 3 cherry tomatoes (i need to replenish now) 1/2 cup of cucumber, 7 walnut halves and 1/4 of an avocado. Topped with 1 tbsp of Soy Ginger dressing. Delish!
So as you can see I have ousted most of my Tupperware and replaced them with a safer sealed glass wear. I love them though they are heavy.
Calories in Monday was 1,150 with 14, 8 oz glasses of water and calories out was 1,442.

My dirty little secret

I have to get this off my chest now. I have a dirty little secret, and it's a sad one.

The 6 lbs I lost, I have gained back, and I gained them all back over my 3 day weekend away at Blue Mountain with Kevin.

Every night we were there, we ate out at a restaurant and I did not necessarily make the most healthiest of choices, because, well I skied all day Saturday and did lots of walking around through the day, so I figured I was ok to treat myself.

But that was a week and a half ago you say.

:-( yes I know, and though I have been back at the gym, I did not have step class Monday as it was a Holiday, Tuesday I was still a little sore from skiing on Saturday so I continued to rest up, Wednesday I had a Youth conference that started 8:00, so I didn't want to go to the gym and be late to the conference. Thursday I had a networking breakfast that I had to be at for 7:15am, so again I couldn't make it to my morning class. Friday was my firstday back to the gym. I went to work this Saturday, but I had a basement party. I tried to be good, but I had like 6-8 bud light limes, nachos, nacho dip, pita bread w hummus and guacamole. All not good.

Yesterday I resolved that I was going to be on a better track yesterday and today would be 100% back on the healthy eating exercise wagon. So far so good.

The really hard part is sharing with everyone my failures and having to change my myfitnesspal ticker back thusly erasing all the weight loss to date.

But this is the point of the blogging, being more accountable, and really this is also an opportunity for others who may struggle to see they aren't alone and that its normal that people trip and fall, its all about you picking yourself back up, dusting off and getting back in the game.

Today I am back in the game!

M.I.A

So I have totally fallen off the blog wagon haven't I? Its been over 10 days since I have blogged. Now what happened that started the falling off of the wagon was the Family day long weekend. Kevin and I went away to Blue Mountain for 3 nights. Kevin had previously downhill skied once back in grade 6, myself I had never downhilled skied, cross country once in grade 6. We both really enjoyed skiing, rented some skies and got some lessons. Basically we spend from 1:30 to 7:30 we were in our skis.

The funny story from our ski lesson is that well Kevin and I did really well in our lessons compared to the rest of the group. The instructors were asking us if we had ever skied before. So station on, get to know your skis, step in your skis, learn to move your feet out and in while wearing your skies and basic moving in a square shape in your skis. Station 2, you are starting to go up a hill. Walk up this small incline, then ski down towards the instructor and shifting your feet out slow down. Station 3 go to the bunny hill and figure it out yourself. There was a few instructors there and one taught Kevin and I how to ski in an S shape. We felt pretty comfortable, and Kevin was ready to move to the next hill "big baby". Now I was not read, why? Because big baby involved a chair lift, and was a significantly bigger hill. I stayed on the bunny hill for 2 more runs and decided I would try the big baby with Kevin.
In the chair lift I was nervous. As a kid I had many friends that suffered what I would consider major accidents while skiing (one girl fell from the chairlift and got her ski pole through her upper lip, another crashed into a tree and had major surgery to repair it). So we are going up the chair lift and it stops! I AM FREAKING OUT! my stomach is up in my throat and I am holding on to the safety bar like no other. Finally it starts to move again. We get up to the top of the hill and I manage to get off the chair lift no problems.
BUT
Now I am too scared to go down the hill. It looks very steep and I have a fear of falling and falling while going fast. Kevin is doing his best to try and calm me down and reassures me that I am skilled enough for this hill based on what we learnt in the lessons. No go. Then I get a text message. Its one of my very good friends Amanda. She and her boyfriend Nick are there at Blue Mountain too and want to know where we are so they can come and meet up with us. I tell her where I am and that I am trapped at the top of the ski run. After prob only 10-15 mins they are at the top of the hill with us. Amanda reassures me and teaches me how to zig zag down the hill snow ploughing. Yeah I got down the big baby hill.
I had so much fun we did that hill so many more times and discovered a through the trees run that was off the same hill. Man that hill scared the bejesus out of me. We are skiing at night, and though there are lots of lights to light the run, I am nervous. I am nervous because on the left side of the run the run cuts off into a ditch. I am no longer confident in my turning to the left and not falling into the ditch. So I basically do the run multiple times all the while just hugging the right.
So 7:30 comes and we decide to part ways, so Kevin and I can return our rentals and so Nick and Amanda can go back and get their skis off and get their shoes on so we can head into the village to get some dinner.
Great great experience skiing. Kevin and I are definitely looking to go out and ski again this year.

So yeah, that was my 3 day weekend (i only talked about the one day because the rest of the weekend I was so sore from skiing that I could hardly do anything lol).

But I had a busy week this past week with work I was just so tired that I didn't have the energy to blog. I did take pictures and I did log my meals and workouts on www.myfitnesspal.com every day (not over the weekend remember bad Internet connection in the chalet - did I mention that earlier?!)

Through this week too I discovered www.trisportscanada.com/orillia.php This is a beginners triathlon. 375m swim, 10k bike ride and 2.5k run. Totally achievable at a beginners level. So I haven't signed up for it yet, but I am going to in the next few days. So exciting and kinda scary trying a triathlon. Its called try-a-tri. So cool. Anyways I have found a 10 week training schedule that I am going to start tomorrow. Start adding more running (for now on the treadmill - outside come May), sticking to spin class (esp Thurs as the instructor isn't' as fun - and outside bike riding come May), and adding swimming to my workout regime. Come summer time when the lakes warm up I will defiantly start swimming in open water to get used to that.

So with regards to my physical activity lately since I last blogged that is what I have been up to.

Last night Kevin and I had our basement party. After much hard work finishing a bsmt from scratch for almost 6 months we wanted to show off the hard work. So we had a few close friends over for some beers, snacks, some DJ hero for the Wii, we had a great time. Kevin got lots of compliments on the good work he did down in the bsmt.

Hope to stay in better touch from here on in.

Tupperwear

I feel like I live/eat out of Tupperware for 90% of my meals. I wish I was home more often. I wish I could prep my meals and then cook them to eat them right when they are cooked that same day and hour. God I wish I didn't have to work so much. Sad thing is is that I just can't quit my second part time job or drop my hours. The job I really enjoy at Big Brothers Big Sisters is sadly only a contract until the end of June. The executive director says that he really hopes to find extra funding to keep me on until the Board of Education refunds my position next September. God if I knew for 100% certainty that I would have that happen I would most definitely decrease my hours or even quit. But that just simply is not the case, and until then I will continue to eat out of Tupperware.

This morning I dragged my ass out of bed for spin class at 6am. I got there got my bike all set up only to find that the tension was not working. I couldn't turn the tension knob/dial was so stuck that even if I got off the bike and tried to strong arm it to move it didn't. So I had to go and get an older less comfortable bike. I was so uncomfortable in the position of the bike seat the bike seat itself (despite having a gel seat that I brought). So to keep myself motivated I looked to my HRM (heart rate monitor). I pushed myself to get to 400 calories burned. I reached that goal by burning 485 in the 35 mins of spinning.

For breakfast I had 3/4 cup of Quaker Oatmeal with 1/2 a banana. Forgetting to take my picture right away this is what was left when I remembered.
For snack I had 1/2 cup of Nordic No Fat cottage cheese with 3 sliced up strawberries.
Lunch was completely out of my control, also is still a mystery to me. I attended a Lunch and Learn with the Whitby Chamber of Commerce. This lunch was provided by the restaurant Baton Rouge. No nutritional information is provided on their website for their meals :( Anyways, as you can see I filled most of my plate with a mixed green salad with a tsp of Lime Ginger Vinaigrette dressing, about 1/4 cup of their Louisiana long grain white and wild rice, and about 2.5 oz of their chicken breast in some sort of bbq sauce and a corn salsa. It was all very tasty.
I packed myself 14 baby carrots for my afternoon snack which I ate mostly in the car ride between jobs.
Dinner I made a repeat dish, 2 cups romaine lettuce, 5 grape tomatoes halved, 1/2 mango, 6 walnuts, 4oz of broiled salmon, topped with 1 tsp of soy ginger salad dressing.
On top of not wanting to go to work because it tires me out they always have damn snacks out. VK I am totally calling you out on this! I know you brought these ever so delicious peanut butter filled chocolate hearts. I had 4 chocolates.
Today's total calories burned is 1,124 and total intake was 1,394.
Well off to bed, busy day tomorrow, muscle moves at 6am, Durham College student job fair from 8-3 then off to work from 4-8, go, go, go, go, go,

So Greatful

So I have decided that I want to combine my Sunday Monday blog. Its just easier this way. However it should be noted that I was weak and did not take pictures of my superbowl cheating, however I will list it and it is listed on my food diary on http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

I also want to take a moment to show my appreciation for the support I have gotten from my loving friends and family, as I try to make healthy choices to maintain a healthy weight.

Monday

I made the decision to go to a hot yoga class for 6:30 am. So not knowing what to expect a hot 101 degrees hot yoga or a warm into hot yoga class, I wanted to stay light on the breakfast, so I had a grapefruit. I had plans on eating more when I came home, however I didn't get back to the house until 7:45, and I needed to shower and get off to work for 8:30 (that's when I like to get there). But I didn't leave my house until 8:20. So no time to get more to eat. But the grapefruit was very satisfying.
For a mid day snack while at work I had 1cup of green grapes.
Lunch was a salad. 2 cups of Romaine lettuce with 1/2 cup of english cucumber and 5 halved grape tomatoes. Topped with a home made balsamic dressing.

For my mid day snack I had 14 baby carrots. So sweet and tasty.

I got home and was hungry while I was making my dinner. So I grabbed a handful of walnuts to munch on while cooking.

What did I cook? Well I knew from the start of the day that I had left over BBQed chicken breast in the fridge and wanted to use that some how. So what did I make, well I sauteed 1/8th of a red onion, 1/4 of a yellow pepper and 2.15 oz of the chicken. I tossed in 1 tbsp of light sour cream and 2 tbsp of med heat salsa. Mixed it all together and threw it in a tortilla.

Total calories out 1,454 and total in 874. I know this is crazy LOW, and really I didn't know until I got home from the gym and inputted my snack and dinner. At this point I don't want to eat anything else as it is so close to bed time for me, all that food would just turn to sugar and into fat. Hmmm

Sunday
Sunday I had every intention of being a good girl for Superbowl Sunday, however as you will see there is no pictures of the nachos with cream cheese dip, pita bread with guacamole, carrot sticks and various berries. So this is what I did do and eat Sunday.
3 egg whites with 1 whole egg with 5 grape tomatoes sliced up, 2 tbsp of light feta crumbled cheese, and 1 slice of chicken bacon. This is a very tasty little scrambled egg combination.

For snack right before going to a hot yoga class (which turned out to be a cool - warm - hot yoga class, the electrician was in doing work and the instructor wasn't able to get the room fully heated before class started), I had 1/2 cup of low fat plain yogurt, 1/3 cup of bran buds and 1/3 cup of blueberries.

When I got back from the yoga class I was Marvin'. Why? Because I didn't drag my butt out of bed until almost 10am so there was no lunch before my 1pm yoga class. So I made a peanut butter/banana protein shake. Really one of my most fav shakes.

Then I went to the superbowl party. Like I mentioned above lots of salty snacks with a mix of some fruit and veggies.
I estimated the amount of food I ate and calories it would equate to a total of 2,071 calories in and 734 out.

Working Day 6

Ugh I hate having to work every other weekend from 9am-3pm. Well what can you do. This just means instead of taking Sunday off from working out this weekend I am taking Saturday off. Though I like to sleep in I also really enjoy getting up in the morning to work out. Its just so much easier to get to the gym and try and push myself hard. In the evening its just too easy to stay sitting on the couch for me in the evenings. Tomorrow I am defiantly going to go to another Hot Yoga class with MJ and as I am typing this I realize that there is a 1 hour spin class at 10am that I may try and get to that spin class too. Its with an instructor that I have never done a class with before.
For breakfast before I had to go to work, I had my 1 cup of kashi cereal with 1/2 cup of skim milk and 6oz of O.J. I cut up 1/2 of a banana which I did not picture and put it in my cereal.

On my way to work I needed a good shot of java, so I hit up the Starbucks. Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte. Being that I got through the drive through (3rd in line) my coffee had been sitting a few mins and was the PERFECT temperature to start drinking right then and there. LOVED IT!
Snack before lunch was 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1/3 cup of raspberries.

I had soup for lunch. You will see on the right hand side the soup that I ate, and that is the reason that I have a picture on the left hand side. You can see how much I ate before I realized I hadn't taken a picture of my soup. So I used the picture from the other week when I had the first half of the soup. Knorr Rustic Vegetable and Potato soup.

Driving home, I remembered that I had a meeting with a financial guy at the house with my husband. I was kinda tired, so I called Kevin and asked him to make some coffee both for me and for the financial guy. I cup of coffee 1/4 cup of milk and 1 tsp of white sugar.
For dinner I had 2 cup of romaine lettuce, 7 grape tomatoes cut into halves, 1cup of walnuts, 1/2 of a mango, 4oz of broiled salmon. Topped off with 1 tbsp of Soy Ginger dressing.
Sadly I was weak and had some sour cream & onion chips. 27 of them as per the recommended serving size.

Overall to this point I have 2,074 calories today *sadface* and burned 364 through daily walking.

Yeah! I did it! I caught up on my blogging for the week. It is my goal to next week not fall behind again. Happy day!

Made it through this terrible week

Well it's Friday and I seem to have made it through this week relatively unscathed, I think. LOL Friday I did not have any meetings out of the office which was nice. I had two meetings however they were both in the office, and not scheduled around lunch time.
I woke up early for my 6am Cardio Bosu class, and boy was I tired. Remember the night before I had worked out in the evening which was a new change to my normal routine. Either way I still worked hard. I mean I had to my girlfriend MJ came to the class for the first time. I can't not push hard when my friend comes to the class lol.

For Breakfast I had no surprise for this week, my 6oz of O.J, and my 1/2 cup no fat yogurt, 1/3 cup of bran buds and 1/3 cup of blueberries. I will miss this breakfast when the supplies are gone and I haven't gotten groceries.
As you can see from my already eaten banana, I am still struggling a little again to remember to photo my food before I eat it. LOL If its a valid excuse my stomach was rumbling and I had a coworker in my office chatting with me about work stuff, so I was distracted and that is what I am going to use as the reason for forgetting to picture it before eating it.
This is my ever so tasty looking sandwich that I made the night before. Now when I made the sandwich I knew when I was making it that I was running a risk putting the tomato in so far in advance. I honestly thought that by packing the tomato between the meat and the lettuce, and rotating the sandwich Tupperware I might keep the moisture contained fairly well. No avail. I ate the one half of the sandwich and that wasn't too bad. However the second half of the sandwich was so wet from the tomato juice that I just couldn't bring myself to eat it without gaging.
I ate my 1 whole Royal Gala Apple along with that I had planned on eating for my afternoon snack.
Seeing my calorie count after having eaten all the food I had prepared Ihadn't even eaten 600 calories for the day. I was starting to get hungry. Luckily I work right beside a Price Choppers, so I went and picked myself up a healthy snack. I of course kept with my pattern this week and ate it before taking a picture. so here is the picture from the back of the box. Kashi Peanut Peanut Butter granola bars.

For dinner I made a pasta. I had some left over extra lean ground turkey. I had 3/4 cup of Catelli rotini pasta, with 1/4 cup of the ground turkey, 1/4 of red pepper, 1/2 cup of broccoli, 1.5 mushroom, 1/8 red onion, 1/8 tomato, 1/2 stalk of celery and 1/2 cup of classico tomato basil pasta sauce.
I had 27 chips which is the serving size recommended by the back of the chips. Again forgetting to take a picture of the ever so delicious Hostess Ketchup chips I snapped a picture of some Hostess sour cream & onion chips instead.

Bad, no terrible day for pictures

Well Sadly I am looking through my pictures of Thursday. I really don't have any. It would seem that Thursday was the pinnacle of my bad memory for taking photos of my meals for the day.

I can hardly even remember Thursday. Though what I do remember is the what I did for a work out, and I will get to that later.

I will tell you what I did eat though there is no pictures. But wait, if I don't have pictures, how you ask do I remember what I ate? www.myfitnesspal.com is how I remember. Though I may forget to photo document my food, I do stay on top of documenting my food on my food diary on this website.

Breakfast:
1 slice of pumpernickel bread toasted with 1 tbsp of almond butter at 5:20am
Snack:
1/2 cup of no fat yogurt with 1/3 cup of bran budds and 1/3 cup of blueberries which I ate at 7:30
1/2 cup of Nordic no fat cottage cheese
Lunch:
a 6' sub way veggie sub on whole wheat bread. Lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber and jalapeno peppers. No cheese, mayo, or sub sauce of any kind. Also ate 1 cup of arugula with 1/2 cup of fennel and 15 g of sun dried tomato.
Snack:
1 grapefruit
Dinner:
1/4 cup of long grain and wild rice
1/4 of a red pepper
1.5 mushroom
1/2 stalk of celery
.5 cup of broccoli
4 pc of chopped baby carrots
and 1/2 tbsp of Soy Ginger Salad dressing

My workout, well I went to the gym for a 6am spin class with Joe. Well Joe is kind of a boring spin class, a lot of Jack Johnson, Norah Jones type music. Don`t get me wrong nothing wrong with mellow music, but when you are trying to pump up a spin class at 6am, lose that crappy ass music. Anyway, so I did a 40 min spin class.
In my adventures of apts today which were just as bad as yesterday, I stopped at The Running room and picked myself up a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor that monitors not only your hear rate, but also measure your calories burned base on your heart rate.
At 7pm, I ventured out to my first Hot Yoga class. I met my girlfriend and another coworker here in Bowmanville. Monday was the very first class of Hot Yoga in Bowmanville, and I was quick to get in there right off the bat. I wore my new HRM to the Hot Yoga class, which was 1.5 hrs. According to my HRM I burned 650 calories.

Total caloric input output was 1,498 out and 1,214 in.

Feb 3 wow

Well it's Saturday and I am just now getting around to writing about Wednesday. I am really struggling this week. As you will see in my other blogs entries I have been forgetting to photo some of my meals until they are half way or almost all eaten.
I think that this is due to the fact that I have been very busy at work this week. Lots of apts out of the office and in the office.
Hopefully starting this week coming any and all meetings that I will have will be me booking them in as opposed to my coworker booking my apts. She is a small source of stress for me right now in my life. But I am learning to work through it.

For Wednesday I ate:
1/2 cup of plain no fat yogurt, 1/3 cup of kellogs all bran budds and 1/3 cup of blueberries. I drank my 6oz of O.J

For a snack I had 1/3 cup of raspberries, and 4 strawberries.
Lunch, one of my fav, 20 grape tomatoes halved, 15 mini mini boconcini, torn fresh basil leaves and 1 tsp of olive oil, no salt today as I prepacked this meal and I didn't want to suck all the moisture out of my tomatoes and having a soupy mess in the bottom of the container. Plus its healthier this way.
I had packed myself an orange for snack, however those bleeping apts that my coworker has booked me are coming into play here. I had one meeting at 9:30am, where I was at until 10:45, back to the office by 11am, with another meeting at 12:30. I only had enough time to eat lunch at the office, only to turn around and run out of the office again. Because of this second apt in the afternoon I had no time to peel and eat and orange before going from my full time day job to my part time evening job. So I stopped at No Frils and got myself some walnuts.

I ate 12 walnuts. Here is the orange that I was to eat for my afternoon snack.

Here is the 1 cup of broccoli and 4 oz of salmon that I broiled for dinner. I ate the orange along with my salmon. Very tasty combination.

In the morning I went to the gym for 6am and did muscle moves class. I ran on the treadmill, worked the StairMaster, sat in the sauna and at work I ran up and down the 5 flights of sitars at work twice (oh man that was brutally hard). I burned 1,129 calories and ate 1,802.

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Well I apologize to everyone about Monday, sadly Tuesday wasn't much better. Looking back and thinking I was 100% fine Monday morning when I made my weekend blog I was in a fine mood. But by the end of the work day I was a mess. Tuesday I thought I was doing better. I went to the gym and came out of there feeling fine. Until . . . .I realized that I had forgotten my coffee back home at the front door. I wanted to cry. I was able to eventually have some coffee through the wonder of Tim Horton's accepting master card (there are no debit machines near where I work that are in relation to the Tims).
To top off the second bad day, I had to go into my second job after working all day from 4pm-8pm. I just wanted to go home and chill but I couldn't do that either. Oh well.
So not that my dietary choice had anything to do with my crazy pms, but here is what I ate on Tuesday Feb 2, 2010.

Breakfast:
I had my 3/4 cup of Kashi cereal with 1/2 cup of skim milk, with 6oz of O.J. Yeah O.J
I had 1/2 cup of of plain no fat yogurt with 1/3 cup of Kellogs All Bran Budds with 1/3 cup of blueberries. This was very good, however, learning curve, umm, yeah those all bran buds absorb all the moisture from the yogurt like no body's business. So don't throw it all together the night before and let it sit for over 12 hours lol.

I went out and bought some Nori. I made my own sushi. I did 2 that had imitation crab and cucumber in it, another 2 that had shitakea mushrooms with pan fried tofu that was cooked in my soy ginger salad dressing... mmmm

Well it's Thursday night and I see that I did not take a picture of my Royal Gala apple I had for a snack Tuesday afternoon.

So for dinner I had 2 wraps, that had crimini mushrooms and extra lean ground turkey. I topped these with some med head chunky salsa. Not too bad.
Tuesday I went to spin class at 6:10 am, and burned a total of 850 calories throughout the day and ate a total of 1428.
